    After 72 hours of creating, collaborating, and innovating, it’s time to celebrate the results! The Winnipeg Game Jam Showcase is the grand finale of PegJam 2026, where participants present the projects they’ve built over the weekend.

    From playable games to concept art, music, and prototypes—this is your chance to see what Winnipeg’s game developers can make in just three days. The Showcase is open to the public and is a great way to experience the creativity, talent, and energy of our local game development community.

    Create, Collaborate, and Innovate. A 72 Hour Video Game Development Challenge.

    Winnipeg Game Jam 2026 is a full weekend of creativity and community. The event begins with The Festival, an evening that brings together creators, players, and artists for talks, live music, and hands-on demos. Next, during The Game Jam, participants spend 72 hours making small video games based on a shared theme. You can work alone or join a team at the event. No experience is needed. At the end of the weekend, everyone presents their work during The Showcase, where the community gathers to play games and celebrate the ideas created in just three days.

    This a 72-hour video game development challenge where creativity, innovation, and teamwork take center stage. Over the course of one exhilarating weekend, participants from across Winnipeg and beyond have created original video games from scratch, embracing the theme Create, Collaborate, and Innovate.

    Now in its 9th year, PegJam has become a cornerstone event for Manitoba’s game development community, fostering skill-building, networking, and creative expression among students, hobbyists, indie developers, and industry professionals alike.

    The final judging event celebrates the results of 72 hours of dedication, collaboration, and creative risk-taking.
