SUMMARY:Rethinking Cybersecurity: Breaking the Myths Holding Women Back
DESCRIPTION:ISACA Winnipeg and Manitoba Women in Tech are passionate about helping women take their place in the tech world. Cybersecurity is an area overflowing with opportunities\, but perceptions about careers in cybersecurity might be holding many women back from entering the field. \nThis presentation is all about challenging common assumptions about what cybersecurity is (and who it’s for). Mary will explain how some of these perceptions and beliefs are just myths that can be broken to help women take a confident career step into the cyber world. \n\n\nIf you have ever thought that:\n\n\nCybersecurity is about hackers in hoodies\nThere’s only one “right” way to enter a cybersecurity career\nCybersecurity leadership is defined by technical mastery alone\nCybersecurity work is isolated and done in silos\nSecurity is something you add on after technology is deployed\nCybersecurity is about fear\, control\, and saying “no”\nYou need permission or perfect confidence to belong in cyber\n\nIf so\, you need to join us for this myth-busting presentation as part of MbTech Week! Mary’s presentation will be complemented by a panel featuring diverse cybersecurity roles that showcase the field as a multidisciplinary\, collaborative ecosystem.\n\n\nAgenda:\n\n\n8:00 – 8:30 am: breakfast & networking\n8:30 – 9:30 am: keynote & discussion\n9:30 – 10:00 am: networking\n10:00 am: event conclusion\n\nThank you to ISACA Winnipeg and Launch Coworking Space for sponsoring this event!

SUMMARY:From Static Files to Active Coaches: Building a "Corporate Brain" in Real-Time
DESCRIPTION:We all have folders of PDFs and policies that employees ignore until a crisis hits. But what if that static data could not only answer questions but actually teach your team? \nIn this live\, high-energy session\, Neovation will demonstrate how to solve this problem by taking a folder of raw\, unorganized documents and transforming them into a “Corporate Brain” live. \nYou won’t just see an AI search engine; you’ll watch us use that same data to instantly generate interactive training scenarios\, role-play exercises\, and knowledge checks. We will bridge the gap between “Performance Support” (getting the answer) and “Active Coaching” (mastering the skill)—proving that your existing content is just one prompt away from becoming a 24/7 virtual mentor. \n
