Agriculture is a leading industry in Manitoba and there are huge opportunities to cement the province as an agricultural leader by developing AgTech companies right here. Advancements to farm technologies have the potential to increase profitability, sustainability, and productivity within the sector, with exciting developments in artificial intelligence, robotics, and other emerging technologies.

In this session, you will learn how EMILI’s Innovation Farms enables farmer-centric innovation by partnering with innovators and farmers to test and validate these technologies at scale. We will share examples of how this work informs decision-making for innovators, and de-risks technology for producers to increase overall AgTech adoption on farms.

About the Host 

EMILI is an industry-led non-profit that works collaboratively with producers, industry, investors, and innovators to grow a sustainable and economically resilient digital agriculture industry. EMILI launched Innovation Farms powered by AgExpert in on a 5,500-acre seed farm in Grosse Isle, Manitoba in 2022 to provide innovators across industry and academia with access to leading-edge equipment, technology, and production practices to increase productivity, sustainability, and profitability across the agriculture and agri-food sector. In July 2024, EMILI launched a second Innovation Farms site on a 8,500-acre farm (with approximately 3,000 acres dedicated to potatoes) in MacGregor, Manitoba
